2020 Election

The 2020 elections took place on November 3rd, 2020. In the presidential election, Democrats Joe Biden and Kamala Harris defeated the incumbent Republicans Donald Trump and Mike Pence. In the congressional elections, the Democratic Party lost seats but still held a narrow majority in the House of Representatives. After five seats changed parties in the Senate election, both Democrats and Republicans held 50 seats each. In the aftermath of the elections, Donald Trump and his Republican allies cast doubt on its legitimacy.
