Roy Moore Pens Open Letter to Sean Hannity After His ’24 Hour’ Call

Tuesday night on his Fox News show, Sean Hannity gave Roy Moore a 24 hour ultimatum to clear up inconsistencies in his defense against multiple allegations of teen sex abuse or “get out” of the Alabama Senate Race. With a press conference by his lawyer, an open letter, and private correspondence to Hannity, Moore has evidently beat the clock. And he appears to have done so in a manner which has satisfied Hannity, at least to some degree.

On his radio show Wednesday, Hannity did not call for Moore to drop out of the race, saying instead that the decision was best left to the people of Alabama. He added that the Moore campaign reached out to him personally.

“Without giving away details, I have gotten an answer from the Roy Moore campaign on the questions that I had,” Hannity said.

Hannity added that outside opinions on Moore, including his own, ultimately aren’t important.

“It doesn’t matter what the media says,” Hannity said. “It doesn’t matter what [Sen.] Mitch McConnell (R-KY) says…I just have faith in the people of Alabama. They are the ones that will and should decide.”

Moments ago, Moore released an open letter to Hannity on Twitter:

“I adamantly deny the accusations of Leigh Corfman and Beverly Anne Nelson,” Moore wrote to Hannity. The letter does not make mention of three other previous allegations against him, as well as a new claim reported late Wednesday afternoon by Al.com.
